Your firm's best details are buried in old .rvt files

Time wasted

Opening a 500MB Revit file to find one detail takes 10 minutes. Most architects just redraw from scratch.

Knowledge lost

When senior architects leave, their best details go with them. Locked in projects no one can find.

Duplication

The same window head detail gets drawn differently by every team member, every project.

One search. Every detail. Every project.

Frequently asked questions

Do my drawings get uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything stays on your firm's network. Recall uses a local database on your shared drive. No cloud services, no external API calls, no data ever leaves your infrastructure.

What Revit versions are supported?

Recall currently supports Revit 2026. Support for additional versions is coming soon.

How long does indexing take?

About 5 to 10 minutes per project file, depending on size and number of detail views. Batch indexing is designed to run overnight. Start it at the end of the day and come back to a fully indexed archive.

Can multiple people use the same index?

Yes. The database sits on a shared network drive. All users in the firm point their plugin at the same location. Multiple people can search simultaneously.

What happens to model-based detail views?

Model-based callouts are flattened to DWG during indexing. The 3D geometry is projected into 2D linework, making the detail importable into any project as a static drafting view ready to edit.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Contact us and we'll set you up with a trial so you can evaluate Recall with your own project archive.

Do I need to install anything on a server?

No. Recall is a Revit plugin that installs on each workstation. The shared database is just a file on your network drive. No server software, no database administration, no IT overhead.
